Keeping Its Promise
BlackBerry didn't just simply delivered the goods but also kept its promises to its millions-strong followers worldwide.
The BlackBerry 10 platform with Z10 as its first smartphone having utilizing it, is truly a remarkable, re-designed and re-engineered technology. The hub, smart/fast touchscreen keyboard and the time shift are just three of the so many innovations brought to us by this Canadian company.
During the so called "hiatus" of BlackBerry in terms of sales, one of the factors why most smartphone users were complaining is the lack of great applications being offered but was delivered on the other hand by its competitor mainly iPhone.
But now, with this development, before the BlackBerry Z10 launching in the United States on March 22, 2013, it has announced that the applications catalog now exceeds 100,000.
This is the fruit of the big efforts and sacrifices being put in by the company i.e. trimming down its number of employees, acquiring big tech firms and running the big BlackBerry 10 Jam World Tours to gather developers all over the world.
Also, in addition to apps and games, a humungous catalogs of music and video content for mobile users are now available in most of the countries worldwide. Seemed to be a cause of dilemma now to Apple's iTunes. :)
More and more surprises are still expected to come. With this development, the smartphone pioneering company would likely say, "promises are made to be broken phrase, is false."
"The response to the BlackBerry 10 platform and applications has been outstanding. Customers are thrilled with the applications already available, and the catalog just keeps growing, now with more that 100,00 apps," said Martyn Mallick, Vice President, Global Alliances at BlackBerry.
What BlackBerry has promised then, is now here with us and keeps us moving.
